Most mattresses sit compressed in a warehouse for months, waiting for a buyer. Ours are built every day in our Dallas workshop, so every model is always available and never waits on a shelf. Yours can be ready as soon as the same day or the next; our standard build time is 3–4 days. It arrives fresh, inspected, and made for you.

Derick — the maker — hand-builds it in Dallas, Texas, and our local team delivers it. You're buying direct from the person who built it.

Depending on the model, your build uses individually wrapped pocket coils, high-density foam, memory foam, or gel memory foam — each chosen for how it supports and sleeps. Every product page lists the exact construction. Eligible OPUS Nº models can be adjusted through a Custom Order; fixed-spec models cannot.

Very little. Because our mattresses are never vacuum-compressed into a box, they don't carry the trapped odor that boxed foam often releases. Any faint new-material scent airs out quickly in a ventilated room.

Standard models are built on an 8" to 14" profile, depending on the construction. The exact height is listed on each product page. A Custom Order can be built up to 16" when your specification calls for it.

Our builds support a wide range of body types and couples. iSoft uses wider pocket coils to create a broader support surface. Eligible Custom Order models can also be specified with firmer coils or higher-density foam when additional support is needed.

Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, vacuum occasionally, and always use it on adequate support. The single most important thing you can do is use a waterproof protector from day one — it keeps the mattress clean and keeps your warranty valid.

Six dimensions can be specified on an eligible OPUS Nº build: fabric, foam density, thickness, support and firmness, cooling technology, and size. Purple and Honeycomb are fixed-build Queen and King models, not Custom Order starting points. Either mattress can be purchased with the Purple Cover or Honeycomb Cover; both covers are also available separately or for compatible custom builds.

Start from an eligible Custom Order model, then confirm the six dimensions and your OPUS Nº with Derick. Purple and Honeycomb remain fixed-build Queen and King models, with either compatible cover available at purchase. Every payment is completed securely on this website before the build begins.

3–4 days to build once your order is confirmed, then local delivery. Derick confirms your exact timeline when your OPUS Nº is set.

A fully custom build — your exact spec or a non-standard size — is final sale and is not eligible for a refund, because it is made for one person and cannot be restocked. If an adjustment is needed, DESCANSO provides a mattress re-adjustment service to refine the customization. This service does not include a refund.

Each model's page shows its starting price by size. Custom specifications are quoted directly by Derick based on the materials you choose — you always know the price before the build begins.

Twin, Full, Queen, and King are standard across most models. Purple and Honeycomb are available only in Queen and King and cannot be resized through a Custom Order. Eligible OPUS Nº models may be built in Twin XL, Cal King, split sizes, or exact dimensions. Each product page shows the sizes available for that model.

For one sleeper, a Twin or Full works in a smaller room; a Queen gives room to move. For couples, a Queen is the minimum and a King gives each person the most space. Factor in the room — leave walking space around the bed.

Your mattress needs firm, even support to perform and to keep its warranty valid — a solid platform, a slatted base, or a box spring. We offer a matching box spring as an add-on in three heights: standard, low-profile, and bunk board.

In most cases, yes — as long as the frame gives firm, even support without wide gaps. If you're not sure, send Derick a photo of your setup and he'll tell you before you order.

Catalog mattresses can be delivered as soon as the same day or the next day across the DFW metroplex, depending on the day's schedule; the standard build time is 3–4 days, and Custom Orders take 3–4 days. Derick confirms your delivery window when your order is set.

Delivery is to your door or entryway. To protect your home, our Helping Hands don't move furniture through the house or haul away old mattresses. Placing a ready mattress on your bed takes a minute — there's no box to wrestle and nothing to assemble. For old-mattress disposal, we're glad to point you to a local option.

Flat and whole — the way it was built. It's wrapped for protection, carried to your door, and ready to sleep on immediately. No box, no compression, no wait.

Within your 60 nights, we'll re-adjust the firmness or exchange it for a comparable model. Because every mattress is built to order — not restocked — we work in exchange and re-adjustment rather than cash refunds. The maker stands behind the build and makes it right.

Around night 21 — once your body has adjusted — we reach out to see how you're sleeping and whether the firmness is settling in. You choose how we reach you: text, email, or WhatsApp. If something's off, we solve it then; often a small adjustment is all it takes.

The outer cover and fabric aren't covered — those wear with normal use — and comfort preference isn't a defect. One thing voids the warranty entirely: stains. Any stain, spill, or moisture — anywhere on the mattress — ends coverage. Also excluded: a removed or altered law tag, opening or removing any sealed component not designed for customer access, use without proper support, and burns, tears, or misuse. The warranty is for the original owner and isn't transferable.

Use a waterproof mattress protector from night one, keep it on adequate support, and keep the law tag on. A protector is the single most important way to protect five years of coverage: any stain ends the warranty, so a protector keeps a spill from ever reaching the mattress.

You send a few photos and a short video — the mattress uncovered, the law tag, and the sag measured with a straightedge and a small object at the deepest point. A real person on our team reviews every claim; no bot decides your case. If it's a covered defect, we repair or replace the affected build. Because delivery is handled by our independent Helping Hands, any pickup or re-delivery is quoted per case.

Several of our builds are made to sleep cool — a cover that sheds heat instead of trapping it, or a gel layer that pulls warmth away from the surface. If sleeping hot is your main complaint, tell Derick or take the fit quiz, and we'll steer you to the coolest-sleeping build in your range.

A well-built mattress on firm, even support typically serves 7 to 10 years. Ours is built to hold its shape — dense foams and individually wrapped coils — and it's backed by a 5-year limited warranty against sagging past 1.5 inches. A protector and the right base are what make it last.

Yes — on a Custom Order, a Queen or King can be built with a different firmness on each side, so neither of you has to compromise. It's one of the six dimensions you set with Derick before the build begins.

Yes. We build Twin and Full sizes, and we can set a softer, right-sized feel for a child, or a comfortable, practical build for a guest room. For a child's bed we'd add a waterproof protector from night one — it keeps the mattress clean and the warranty valid.
