Please read these terms before you use descansomattress.com or place an order. By using the site, or by placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order. Related pages: Privacy Policy and Returns & Warranty.

1. Who we are

DESCANSO Mattress ("DESCANSO," "we," "us") is owned and operated by Derick Gallegos, a sole proprietor, in Dallas, Texas.

We sell only online, at descansomattress.com. We have no retail stores. Our workshop is in Dallas, Texas, and we serve the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.

Every mattress is built by Derick in Dallas after you order it.

2. Using the site

• You may browse the site, take the fit quiz, use DESCANSO STUDIO, and submit requests for your own personal, non-commercial use.
• You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
• Give us accurate information. We use your details to respond to your requests and to build, deliver and support your order, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Do not misuse the site: no unlawful use, no attempt to break or overload it, no automated scraping, and no use of another person's information.
• The text, photos, video, and design on this site belong to DESCANSO or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.
• Product information, prices, and availability on the site are shown in good faith. Your final total is shown before you place your order, and a Custom Order specification is confirmed with you before anything is built or charged.

3. Made-to-order products, and how an order works

Our mattresses are built to order. They are not pulled from a stock room. There are two ways to order.

Catalog mattress. You choose a model and size, add it to your cart, and pay on this website. Production begins after payment is confirmed. Purple and Honeycomb are fixed-build Queen and King models. They cannot be turned into a Custom Order, and either compatible cover may be chosen at purchase.

Custom Order (OPUS Nº). A Custom Order is a mattress built to your own specification. The steps are:

1. Quiz or STUDIO. The fit quiz gives you a recommendation, not a restriction. If your match needs a Custom Order, your final dimensions, firmness, materials, and price must be reviewed and confirmed before production.
2. Custom Order request (by appointment). You send your design request with your contact details. It is a request, not an automatic booking or payment.
3. Review by Derick. Derick reviews every selection and confirms a time with you before anything is built or charged.
4. Private quote. You receive a private link to your quote. The quote shows your line items, any discount, tax, and total, and the date it is valid through. Quote links expire. If yours has expired, contact us for a new one.
5. Payment. You confirm your delivery details and pay securely on this website through the private quote link.
6. Production. We never begin production or charge for a Custom Order until you approve the final specification and price. Production begins after payment is confirmed and after every specification has been approved.

Email and phone may be used to confirm Custom Order specifications. WhatsApp is used only if you have opted in through your appointment request. Payment is never collected through email, phone, or WhatsApp.

Six dimensions can be specified on an eligible Custom Order: fabric, foam density, thickness, support and firmness, cooling technology, and size. Not every model is eligible. Each product page shows what applies to that model.

4. Pricing and payment

• Prices are in U.S. dollars. Each model's page shows its starting price by size. Custom specifications are quoted by Derick, so you know the price before the build begins.
• Payment methods. On the site we accept major cards, processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not take cash payments for online orders. DESCANSO does not receive or store your complete card information.
• Every purchase is made directly on this website. This protects you from fraud. Every payment is completed before a build begins.
• For a Custom Order, the price is fixed on our server in your private quote. The amount charged is the total in that quote. It cannot be changed by a link or a message.
• Texas sales tax applies and is shown at checkout before you confirm. Your final total is shown before you place your order.
• We do not currently offer third-party financing.

5. Custom Orders are final sale

A mattress built to your confirmed measurements and specifications is a final sale and cannot be returned for a refund. This includes a non-standard size. It is made for one person and cannot be restocked.

If the mattress needs refinement, DESCANSO offers a readjustment service to improve the original customization. This service does not include a refund.

Please read this before you approve a quote. By approving a Custom Order quote and paying, you accept this rule.

6. Delivery

• We deliver locally in Dallas and the DFW metro area. We do not ship nationally; every mattress is delivered direct from the workshop.
• Every build is ready in 3–4 days, then delivered locally. For a Custom Order, the 3–4 days count from when your order is confirmed. Derick confirms your delivery window when your order is set.
• Your mattress is delivered flat and uncompressed, straight from the workshop, and wrapped for protection.
• Our compensation system. DESCANSO does not run its own delivery fleet. Your mattress is brought to you by one of our Helping Hands, a collaborator who works part-time in our workshop. There is no fixed fee: you decide what the service is worth and give it directly to the person who carries your bed to your door. Most customers give around $40.
• Delivery is to your door or entryway. Our Helping Hands do not move furniture through the home and do not haul away old mattresses.
• If a warranty claim needs a pickup or re-delivery, it is quoted case by case, because delivery is handled by independent Helping Hands.

7. Referral program

Your card. A numbered referral card is issued to you automatically when your purchase is confirmed. You can keep it, or collect several cards, for example to work toward a larger TV. After delivery, you can leave an honest review, and we will email you three additional referral cards.

• For the person referred: a new customer who uses your referral receives at least 15% off their first DESCANSO mattress. Enter the referral code before payment. For security and tracking, codes cannot be added after payment is complete.
• For you: a referral qualifies when the referred customer's order is paid in full, delivered, and the delivery receipt is signed. To redeem a reward, you must also have received your own product and signed your delivery receipt. Once qualified, the reward becomes available for immediate redemption.
  • One qualifying referral: redeem one Smart TV from the standard reward tier.
  • Three unredeemed referrals: exchange them together for a larger Smart TV from the upgraded reward tier.
• Each referral credit may be used only once. A credit redeemed for an individual TV cannot later be applied toward the larger-TV reward. To receive the upgraded reward, all three credits must remain unredeemed until they are exchanged together.
• Referral customers must be new to DESCANSO.
• TV brand, model, and screen size may vary based on market pricing and availability. DESCANSO selects the available reward when redemption is confirmed. The available television is disclosed before your referral credits are redeemed.
• Television rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, and redeemed referral credits cannot be used again.
• Gifts are delivered as-is. The program is not combinable with other specials.

8. Trial, returns, and warranty

• 60-night trial. Catalog mattresses (a standard model in a standard size) include a 60-night trial. If the feel is not right, you may request one firmness adjustment or exchange the mattress for a comparable catalog model during that period. We work in exchange and re-adjustment, not cash refunds. We check in on night 21.
• 5-year limited warranty. Every DESCANSO mattress includes a five-year limited warranty covering defects in the materials and workmanship of the mattress's inner construction. The outer cover and fabric are not covered, and stains, spills or moisture void the warranty.
• Custom Orders are final sale, as set out in section 5.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DESCANSO's total liability to you for any claim about a product or an order is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved. DESCANSO is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. The site is provided as is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of error.

Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under the law that cannot be limited or waived, including your rights under Texas consumer protection law and any written warranty we give you. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

10. Governing law and venue

These terms and any dispute about the site or an order are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. The terms in effect when you place your order apply to that order.
