DESCANSO Mattress sells only online at descansomattress.com. There are no retail stores. Every mattress is built in our Dallas, Texas workshop, and we serve the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. DESCANSO Mattress is owned and operated by Derick Gallegos, sole proprietor.

This page explains three things before you buy: the 60-night trial on catalog mattresses, how Custom Orders are handled, and the 5-year limited warranty. We publish these terms so you can read them before you pay. This page is part of our Terms of Sale & Use. Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

The 60-night trial

Which mattresses are covered

Every catalog mattress comes with a 60-night trial. A catalog mattress is a standard model in a standard size. The 60 nights start the night your mattress is delivered.

The 60-night trial does not apply to:

• Custom Orders. A fully custom build, your exact specification, or a non-standard size (see "Custom Orders are final sale" below).
• Box springs. The box spring add-on is not part of the trial.

Purple and Honeycomb are fixed-build Queen and King models, so their firmness cannot be adjusted. For these two models, the trial remedy is an exchange for a comparable catalog model.

What the trial gives you

If the feel is not right, you may request one firmness adjustment, or exchange the mattress for a comparable catalog model, during the 60 nights. The comparable model is agreed with you before the exchange, and any price difference between models is settled with you before anything changes.

The night-21 check-in

Your body can take two to four weeks to adjust to a new mattress. Around night 21, we check in with you to see how you are sleeping and whether the firmness is settling in. You choose how we reach you: text, email, or WhatsApp. If something is not right, we address it then, and often a small adjustment is enough.

No cash refunds on the trial

Every mattress is built to order and is not restocked. For that reason, the trial works through firmness adjustment and exchange, not cash refunds.

How to request an adjustment or exchange

Contact us at derick.builds@descansomattress.com or +1 (817) 313-5698 within your 60 nights. Because delivery is handled by our independent Helping Hands, any pickup or re-delivery is arranged with you and quoted per case.

Changing or cancelling an order

Need to change or cancel an order? Write to us as soon as you can. Production begins after payment is confirmed, so we can tell you what is possible once we see where your order stands.

Custom Orders are final sale

A mattress built to your confirmed measurements and specifications is a final sale and cannot be returned for a refund. It is made for one person and cannot be restocked.

If the mattress needs refinement, DESCANSO offers a readjustment service to improve the original customization. This service does not include a refund.

The 5-year limited warranty

This is a limited warranty. Every DESCANSO mattress includes a five-year limited warranty covering defects in the materials and workmanship of the mattress's inner construction. The five years start on the date your mattress is delivered.

Who is covered

The original owner, meaning the person named on the order. The warranty is not transferable.

What is covered

Genuine manufacturing defects in what we build, meaning the inside of the mattress:

• Foam that splits, cracks, or softens abnormally.
• Sagging or body impressions deeper than 1.5 inches, measured with no weight on the bed.
• Coils that break, bend, or work loose.

Coverage applies when the mattress has been used on adequate support: firm, even support without wide gaps, such as a solid platform, a slatted base, or a box spring.

What is not covered

• The outer cover, the fabric, and the exterior of the mattress. These wear with normal use and are never covered.
• Comfort preference. A mattress that is firmer or softer than you expected is not a defect. (Use the 60-night trial for that, where it applies.)
• A removed or altered law tag.
• Opening or removing any sealed component that is not designed for customer access.
• Use without proper support.
• Burns, tears, or misuse.

Stains, spills, and moisture

Any stain, spill, or moisture, anywhere on the mattress, voids the warranty entirely.

To protect your coverage: use a waterproof mattress protector from the first night, keep the mattress on adequate support, and keep the law tag on. Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and vacuum occasionally.

How to make a claim

1. Contact us at derick.builds@descansomattress.com or +1 (817) 313-5698, as soon as you notice the problem.
2. Send a few photos and a short video showing: the mattress uncovered, the law tag, and the sag measured with a straightedge and a small object at the deepest point.
3. A person on our team reviews every claim. No automated system decides your case.

What we do if the claim is covered

If it is a covered defect, we repair or replace the affected build. A replacement is the same model, or a comparable one if that model is no longer made.

Delivery is handled by our independent Helping Hands, so any pickup or re-delivery is quoted case by case.

Your rights under state law

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under Texas or federal law.
